2nd Anniversary Celebration Featuring: Colleen Houck (giveaway)

So, when I received the email saying that the next author would be participating in our celebration I literally squeeled and did a happy dance. I ABSOLUTELY love her series!!! Who am I talking about you ask?

COLLEEN HOUCK!!!!!
*taking a minute for a fan girl moment*

My hubby asked me why I was so excited...okay his words were, "Why are you so excited that she is participating? You can't even win her book." For a full minute I just stared at him like he was stupid and then said, "Because she knows my page!" *And continue the happy dance*

Okay, for all of you who don't know. Colleen writes the YA series, the Tigers Curse series. It is beautifully written, with drama, romance, and action to keep you wanting more.

I look up to Colleen. She started out as an indie author with this series and never gave up. She just wanted to share this story with readers and then was picked up by a publisher. Writing my first novel; she gives me inspiration. Enough about me. Here is some info on her for you to know her better.

Colleen Houck’s New York Times bestselling Tiger’s Curse series has received national praise with the fourth book, Tiger’s Destiny, debuting September 2012. Colleen is a lifelong reader whose literary interests include action, adventure, science fiction, and romance. Formerly a student at the University of Arizona, she has worked as a nationally certified American Sign Language interpreter for seventeen years. Colleen lives in Salem, Oregon, with her husband and a huge assortment of plush tigers.

Passion. Fate. Loyalty.

Would you risk it all to change your destiny?

The last thing Kelsey Hayes thought she’d be doing this summer was trying to break a 300-year-old Indian curse. With a mysterious white tiger named Ren. Halfway around the world. But that’s exactly what happened. Face-to-face with dark forces, spellbinding magic, and  mystical worlds where nothing is what it seems, Kelsey risks everything to piece together an ancient prophecy that could break the curse forever.

Tiger’s Curse is the exciting first volume in an epic fantasy-romance that will leave you breathless and yearning for more.

To celebrate Colleen has given me a signed copy of Tiger's Curse to give to 1 person!

  7. Yes! And it's always embarasing afterward when I realize I totally lost my cool. I try to forgive myself, though, as I'm sure authors and famous folk are used to it and perhaps even charmed with the positive attention. At least, I hope they are! :)

  26. Is that even a question! EVERYONE has a fanboy/fangirl moments! I haven't had it for an author though :( For example, GOT filmed really really close to my town and I had a really hardcore fangirl moment, even though nothing happened in the end :(

  35. I have never met an author, they never come to Croatia *sad*
But, when I was yunger I was at a concert of Tokio Hotel and I got backstage and I met the band. In that time I was really crazy about them, so yeah, I had my fangirl moment.

  36. Most definitely! Whenever an author tweets something back at me, reply to fanmail, I start literally squealing! That, my friends, is something someone claiming to be a tomboy should never do. The one most fresh on my mind is when I tweeted a review of a book, the author replied, AND her agent sent me this epic email and made me feel like, "Wow. Wow. Is this even real?"
